Instead it looks like a pissing contest. They have how many medical shows? How many shows do they have about head doctors, my hubby and I love both House and Mental they are not the same. One is about the doctors who deal with the physical sick and the other deal with the Mental sick. There is a difference. SO PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Oh and Anoymous sometimes shows on the tv are pretend and I take it you believe that there is a talking sponge who lives in a in the sea with a star fish as a best friend. Countless tv shows are flooding into my brain to mention but that would be a waist of time to mention the clear facts. Go write a show if you think you could do so much better. And the same to the other 15 who agreed who you. The word fan has changed over time apparently. Later

I'll start: B is for Becky

Whatever you do - BRING MENTAL BACK! This is an eye opening show that is seriously needed. It only touches on the diseases lightly but gets the point across. I only wish that real-life therapist used the techniques shown on this program. This world is TOO full of greed, shallowness and people without concience to ignore something this important!!! Of course, greed, shallowness and living without concience are among the worse mental illnesses. Can' wait for the next episode

I love this show for many reasons. Mental illness is still an illness that people hate to talk about. Most people who have a family member with a mental condition find shame in it. These people are still discriminated against in this age of super available knowledge. Anything you may apply to or for, asks the question "do you suffer from a mental illness" and for most companies it's like asking "do you have aides" which is against the law to ask, but not mental illness. FOX please keep this show on, it so ministers to us who battle such things as OCD, bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, PTSD and these are only a few. There hasn't been another show on TV that has had the guts to deal with this issue and the truth behind these illnesses. Keep this show on and the great stories that keeps me glued to my chair in anticipation

OK. Jack drifts around and winds up in the care of either a. A tibetan monk b. A REALLY good shrink. c. A Cajun who teaches him how to play the guitar better and catch frogs (and cook them in Louisiana).
Meanwhile, Carl messes up big time at the hospital. In fact, he winds up schizo himself and Jack needs to be called back to straighten the situation out.

I am still seeing posts indicating some think the show will continue. Some series have ended with a huge fan base demanding the show be returned (Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and others getting new lives after the plug was pulled). I don't think Mental is going to be back despite those of us that want it continued. If it does come back, the writer can only go one of three ways; so which of the three options would you choose for Mental Season 2?
A. The show follows Jack to a new venue, and maybe having a few of the others follow him to the new locale? B. Series continues to follow the Wharton Medical staff without Dr. Jack Gallagher? c. The final hour of season one turns out to be just another dream or hallucination?

"If the show comes back there is another way they can bring jack back. They can see if he will come work with a patient they cant controll and offer his job back if this happens I hope Carl is gone or fired in the next season if there is one. I hope there is another season." Whatever the way they could bring him back, They should bring the show anyway. The end wasn't so complicated that they couldn't, I will accept any stupid excuse. I think this show is great and deserves to continue.

new and different? What a concept!!! They have an intelligent character who just happens to be a lesbian! Someday maybe that won't be new and different. I appreciate that she 'just happens' to be a lesbian and no big issue is made of it.

I didn't mind watching this show during the summer to pass the time and might watch it again next summer if it's back... but I was really hoping that this show would have a more accurate portrayal of the disorders it exhibits. I am a special needs teacher and have spent years working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and was more than a little angry when they showed the little girl with autism have a "super talent". It seems like EVERY time a person with autism is on TV or in movies, they have a super natural ability to math, art, music... you name it! Do you know how many parents expect this same unrealistic expectation of their children when autism is diagnosed??? That somehow "Johnny" might never say "I love you" or be comfortable with hugs and affection, but will be a virtuoso??? It rarely, very rarely, happens! It is such a misconception and is so prevalent that I had hoped that, somewhere in the media, the reality of severe, pervasive autism will be shown! Anyway, that's my rant. I appreciate anyone who reads it and takes a second before asking a parent of a child with autism what their kid's "special ability" is.

He IS annoying. But he also allows us to learn more about other characters as he bounces off of them. And ... unfortunately ... he DOES represent the shark-pool mentality that a fair number of people have in ANY field where there is competition to get to, and stay at, the top. Its a Type-A personality at its finest (worst), and will probably result in a hart attack, stroke or mental breakdown. We saw a bit of the veneer cracking when Jack got in his leering face ... hope the show lets us watch his downfall (and being forced to accept compassionate care). Might be a very different Carl that emerges!

I think Nora might actually have a bit more personality. Cuddy is always such a lump to me. Pretty, but a lump. So far, I'm finding Nora more interesting, but maybe that's because we don't know enough about her yet...

Try contacting www.allposters.com I did't see Mental in their inventory, but they are your best bet in finding out who does, or to having one made. They did have House, 24, and many others.
